PROCTOR, TX — Two cars collided head-on near Proctor Friday night killing two.
According to the Texas DPS, on FM 1476, about three miles north of Proctor in Comanche County, a northbound 2017 Ford Fiesta with four occupants crossed the centerline into the oncoming lane and hit a southbound 2010 Ford Fusion with three onboard.

A 7-year-old passenger in the Ford Fiesta, Auric Peña, of Gustine was killed. DPS reported the child was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the Ford Fusion, Joshua Dean McDearmon, 35, of Gustine was also killed.
The Ford Fiesta’s driver, Justi Aly Peña, 30, of Gustine, was critically injured and transported to a Fort Worth hospital. Two other children in the Fiesta were also injured, including 8-year-old Richard Peña and 5-year-old McKayla Peña. Both were transported to the Cook Medical center in Fort Worth.
In the Ford Fusion, two children suffered minor injuries. Samantha McMillan, age unknown, of Dublin; and Kristen McMillan, 13, also of Dublin, were transported to area hospitals.
DPS reported that of the seven occupants involved in this crash, only three were wearing seatbelts.
DPS reported the road conditions were dry and the weather cloudy. The speed limit where the crash happened is posted at 60 mph. The crash happened Friday evening, Dec. 23, at 6:38 p.m.
