SAN ANGELO, TX-- The Tom Green County Jail booked 17 people on Tuesday.
Israel Mireles Echeverria, 35, was arrested for sexual assault of the child under the age of 17, a second degree felony. According to documents, Echeverria used Facebook Messenger to initiate contact with the victim. On August 24, Echeverria reportedly picked the victim up from school during the middle of the school day. The affidavit says the crime in question was committed after that and Echeverria drove the victim back to school afterwards. Echeverria is being held on a $50,000 bond.
