SAN ANGELO, TX -- A 17-year-old Abilene man was indicted by a grand jury Thursday for two robberies and one shooting.
The Taylor County grand jury indicted Shawnocey Droemer, of Abilene, for aggravated robbery, two counts of robbery, and aggravated assault.
According to KTXS, Droemer was accused of robbing a teenager on June 18 on Kirkwood Street. According to the indictment, he punched the youth in the face and took $100 cash out of his pocket and stole his tennis shoes.
Then, on Oct. 15, police said Droemer shot a 15-year-old boy in the chest during a robbery. According to that indictment, Droemer met the victim in an alley to sell him a gun. When the victim showed him the money, Droemer pointed the gun at him and told him to empty his pockets.
The kid refused and he was shot in the chest. The victim was taken to Hendrick Medical Center and survived the incident.
The victim was able to identify Droemer's face in a mugshot.
Droemer remains in jail on $175,000 bond.
