Man Indicted After Being Accused of Beating Victim With a Baseball Bat

 

ABILENE, TX-- A Grand Jury in Taylor County has indicted an Abilene man accused of using a baseball bat to beat his victim in a robbery, according to a report by KTXS.

Aaron Joseph Johnson, 23, was charged with aggravated robbery on Thursday.

The incident happened in January on South 10th Street in Abilene when Johnson went to the victim's house. Johnson was reportedly looking for drugs, according to the indictment.

The victim told Johnson he did not have any. Johnson then beat his victim with a bat and stole $2,200 from the victim, according to Abilene Police. The attack broke the victim's ribs and an arm.

Johnson is currently out on bonds totaling $59,000.
