Abandoned Cars Up For Auction

LUBBOCK, TX —The City of Lubbock's abandoned car auction happens this weekend Saturday, Oct. 14 at Lubbock Wrecker Service at 3209 Slaton Highway.  Gates open at 9 a.m., auction begins at 10 a.m. 

Lubbock PD states that no checks are allowed. 

The auction grounds are open until 6 p.m., giving the buyers an extra 1 1/2 hours to get their cars out.  Gates will not be open on Sunday. You can only gain access to the auction if you register. 

Gates will be opened and closed, as needed, for people to pick up and take out cars.  After the auction has concluded, ONLY buyers will be allowed to remain on the property.
