SAN ANGELO-- On Tuesday, Aug. 29, the San Angelo Police Department arrested 28 people for various crimes. One of the more severe crimes was two counts of Assault of a Public Servant.
Haricol Pena Mendez was arrested on Tuesday after SAPD officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Macann Street, searching for a wanted suspect. Mendez then reportedly assaulted two officers.

- Driving while license invalid: 1
- Driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension: 1
- No proof of financial responsibility: 1,
- Burglary of Building: 1
- Possession of Marijuana: 1
- Possession of Controlled Substance: 1
- Assault of Public Servant: 2
- Impeding Traffic: 2
- Resisting Arrest: 1
- Possession/Delivery Drug Paraphernalia: 1
- Theft Class C: 1
- Riding Without Seatbelt: 1
- Criminal Trespassing: 1
