Abilene Woman Arrested for Causing Injury to a Child

 

ABILENE, TX -- An Abilene woman was arrested on Thursday for abusing two children.

Santana Mallard, 31, is accused of causing injury to a child after police were contacted by Child Protective Services in Aug. of 2015, according to court documents reported by KTXS

Officers observed "bruises on the arms and chest" of one of the children. 

Witnesses said Mallard had been observed shooting drugs into her arm and that she had been abusive to with the children, according to Abilene police.    

The two children tested positive for amphetamines and methamphetamine. 

Mallard now resides in the Taylor County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
