District Judge Goodwin Paves the Way for Three Jury Trials to Begin Monday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – 391st District Judge Brad Goodwin Wednesday set three jury trials to begin on Monday. 

Michael Keene, Brandi Weidner and Anthony Baca plead not guilty in separate hearings before the judge throughout the day today. 

22-year-old Michael Gary Keene is charged with one count of manslaughter and one count of accident causing death. Keene was allegedly driving on Loop 306's access road at Southwest Blvd. near the Olive Garden restaurant on June 16, 2015 when he struck Gisele Jarmon and left the scene. 

Today, Keene’s attorneys filed motions to change the venue, consolidate the charges and for a continuance at the hearing.  Goodwin granted consolidating the charges and set the trial to begin Monday. 

31-year-old Brandi Nicole Weidner is charged with an accident involving death in which Gunner McNeil was killed on December 23, 2014.  She plead not guilty and her trial is set for 9 a.m. Monday.

Anthony Andrew Baca is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the shooting of Paul Garcia on July 14, 2015.  Baca has a previous aggravated assault conviction and was previously charged with murder.  Baca plead not guilty and Judge Goodwin set his trial to begin on Monday.
