Man Sentenced to Life in Prison For Sexual Abuse of a Child

ODESSA, TEXAS – A man was found guilty of continuous sexual abuse of a young child this week in Odessa.

Pete Perez Jr. was found guilty by an Ector County Jury of sexually abusing a young child, and was sentenced to life in prison by Judge John W. Smith.

Perez, who had previously pled guilty to two counts of sexual assault of a child,  was also sentenced to 20 years in prison for both charges.

“The maximum sentence handed down by Judge Smith will assure that the defendant will never harm another child and he will die in prison where he belongs,” said District Attorney Bobby Bland.
