Street Crimes Division Runs Search Warrant at Northwest San Angelo Apartments

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Yesterday, Investigators with the San Angelo Police Department Department’s Street Crimes Division along with members of the Department’s S.W.A.T. Team executed a Search Warrant at the Windmill Park Apartments, located at 1929 Raney Street.

The warrant, issued by District Judge Barbara Walther, named 32-year-old Mario A. Salinas, a convicted felon and fugitive, to be in possession of a quantity of firearms and firearm components.

Salinas along with three other adults and a 7-year-old child were located inside the apartment. All of the adults were detained during the operation, according to SAPD.

A search of the apartment resulted in the discovery and seizure of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia associated with the trafficking of narcotics.

Following the operation, Salinas was charged with First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and a Parole Warrant.  George Simmons, 39, was also charged with First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and a Parole Warrant. 

Ashley Perez, 33, was charged with First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and City Warrants. Helerie Lopez, 34, was charged with First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1.   

All parties were transported to the Tom Green county Jail.  The child was removed to the custody of Child Protective Services.

The Patrol Division and members of the Center for Tactical Medicine assisted with the operation.
