SAN ANGELO, TX-- Mayoral candidate Charlotte Farmer shared her thoughts on the election process for mayor of San Angelo Saturday evening, and expressed that this year's election was a 'clean one'.
"This particular race had been a clean one, [however] I do believe it has been too long," Farmer said. "People are tired of it," she added, referring to the national presidential election from 2016.
Farmer also expressed that the use of yard signs on the campaign trail should not be as important as debates and forums.
"I believe the forums are good for [citizens] to meet their candidates, along with walking the streets," Farmer added.
Farmer took a different approach on her Election Day gathering, and was accompanied by her biggest supporters, her family. After getting a good prediction of how the election would turn out from the early voting results, she was just happy to be with her family.
"It's been my experience in San Angelo that the early voting sets the tone for the rest of the evening," Farmer explained.
She is happy that there is a clear winner from the results, meaning no burden for the tax payers with a run-off election.
"Let's get over the campaigning, and get down to business," Farmer concluded.
