SAN ANGELO, TX – Toby Kye Martin, 34, was arrested this afternoon in connection to a burglary committed earlier this month at the Action Pawn Shop located on N. Bell Street. During their investigation, police were able to locate video footage that showed Martin stealing a firearm from the pawn shop and then driving away in a red Dodge Charger.
A break in their investigation led SAPD officers from the Street Crimes and Criminal Investigations Divisions as well as officials from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to Motel 6 located at 4205 Bryant Blvd. this afternoon.
After locating Martin in the motel he was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
At this time he has been charged with Theft of Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon, and six miscellaneous City warrants. The investigation is ongoing and further charges may be added in the future.
