SAN ANGELO, TX - Angelo State University’s Small Business Development Center (ASU-SBDC) announced today that Bryan Vincent, partner and CEO of Principal LED, as the recipient of the San Antonio District U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Person of the Year award for 2017.
According to a press release, "The U.S. Small Business Administration recognizes small business on a national and local level each year to signify the contribution and outstanding efforts of small business owners. The Small Business Person of the Year award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the true spirit of an entrepreneur. The nominees are evaluated based on the success of the business measured in sales, the increase in employment opportunity produced by the business, development and implementation of creative and innovative business methods, and the demonstration of potential long-term success of the business."
In 2010 Bryan Vincent launched Principal LED in San Angelo with the vision of expanding the application of LED technology for signs. He has brought his business from a startup to one of the top three suppliers of LED lights in the sign industry. Vincent is heavily involved in the community and actively involved with ASU in various ways, such as the College of Business Advisory Council.
"Director of the ASU-SBDC Dave Erickson will be joining our esteemed recipient at the award ceremony to be held in San Antonio, Texas on May 4," said ASU-SBDC. "The awards presentation event coincides with the National Small Business week, which recognizes the important role of America’s small businesses."
