SAN ANGELO, TX - Just after 3 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017, San Angelo Police dispatched to the 2700 block of Martin Luther King Drive for the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said officers arrived and located several witnesses standing around the victim, who was unconscious but breathing.
"The 26-year-old male victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of incapacitating injuries," she said. "He has since been released."
Gonzalez added that further investigation revealed the victim was involved in an altercation with other male subjects inside a nearby private night club called ‘The Spot’, located at 2635 MLK.
Gonzalez said, "One of the subjects was described as a young Hispanic male who was wearing a red cap and white shirt. At some point, the parties exited the club and the altercation reportedly continued in the parking lot until one of the subjects got inside a vehicle and intentionally drove into the victim, causing the victim to become airborne."
Witnesses described the suspect's vehicle as possibly a gray or light-colored, 90s model 4-door Nissan Infiniti. The vehicle was said to have a broken headlight and passenger side window.
