Police: Man Steals $108 in Walmart Steaks and Makeup then Hops into a BMW

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Some of San Angelo’s most outstanding citizens kept the San Angelo Police Department busy throughout Thursday and into the early hours Friday. The charges included aggravated assault, criminal trespassing and possession of marijuana among others.

Sean Victor Gaskin, 50, was arrested at a Walmart on Sherwood Way after he stole approximately $108.00 worth of steak and skin care products. SAPD received a call around 6:40 p.m. Thursday afternoon after the store reported they had seen Gaskin concealing his bounty under his shirt and then proceeding to leave the store. Gaskin then proceeded to walk towards a silver BMV in the parking lot of the Stripes convenience store in front of the Supercenter where he was taken into custody.  He was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 8:50 p.m.

Ernest Joe Rose III, 20, was charged with public intoxication after police received reports of an intoxicated subject in the area of Bird and Webb Streets at around 5:10 a.m. on Thursday morning. Rose was later released on a $440 bond on Friday afternoon.

Ricky Shane Pharr, 37, was arrested after committing criminal trespass at around 9 pm at the 7-11 convenience store on Bryant Blvd after police received reports of an unwanted subject. Pharr was booked at the jail at 9:34 pm on Thursday night. Shane had been previously arrested for indecent exposure on December 31, 2016 and released on March 1, 2017.

Alejandro Raymond Olvera, 25, was taken into custody after being charged with Possession of Marijuana early Friday morning. Police responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Avenue L and South Bryant Blvd at approximately 4:40 a.m. Olvera was one of the drivers involved and that led to the discovery of the marijuana and was booked at 5:44 a.m. He had also been previously arrested and released for deadly conduct after discharging a firearm in January of this year.

Michael Lorenzo Sanchez, 31, was arrested for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury after being identified as a suspect in a road rage stabbing investigation that occurred on March 5. Sanchez was booked at 4:35 p.m. Thursday afternoon. For more on that story click here.

Daniel James Sweat, 26, was also arrested for criminal trespassing at approximately 1:00 on Thursday. Police had responded to a call on the 3300 block of Cumberland for a report of an unwanted subject. Sweat was booked at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Tom Green County Jail. He has also been arrested on March 10th of this year for public intoxication and was released the next day on a $442.00 Surety bond.

Jimmie D. Tucker, 21, was arrested for property theft and for outstanding warrants and booked at 1:10 p.m. on Thursday. Tucker had previous warrants for failing to appear and charges for possession of marijuana.
