Details On Cyclist Struck Last Friday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo Police are searching for a hit and run driver who struck a cyclist in south San Angelo Friday night. 

On the evening of March 10th, at approximately 6:30 p.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the 5400 block of Link Road for the report of a hit and run crash involving a cyclist.

The victim, a 49-year-old San Angelo man, was transported to San Angelo Community Medical Center for treatment of incapacitating injuries.   

A witness to the crash told Police the cyclist was traveling north in the 5400 block of Link Road when he was struck from behind by a black or dark colored, two-door, Chevrolet Camaro, according to a San Angelo Police press release.

The vehicle had a distinct red, white, and blue heart-shaped sticker on the back window as well as two yellow possible flag-type bumper stickers. 

After colliding with the cyclist, the vehicle’s passenger side mirror broke off. Upon further investigation, San Angelo Police determined the mirror belonged to a 2010-2015 Camaro.
