Repeat Thieves and Criminal Trespassers Bombard Local Retailers Over Weekend

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – This weekend, local law enforcement spent a bit of time at local retailers in San Angelo and arrested a few people for shoplifting and criminal trespassing. The majority of the arrestees have quite the history.

Recently, the Walmart on 29th Street appears to be getting the brunt of all the shoplifters and criminal trespassers, and this weekend was no different.

At around 7:40 p.m. on Friday, San Angelo Police dispatched to the Walmart for the report of a theft in progress. Officers arrested Doel V. Boisse, 66, for Theft of Property >=$100<$750.

This is Boisse’s 26th arrest in Tom Green County. He has a history of theft and burglary.

Also on Friday, at around 8:15 p.m., SAPD officers arrested 33-year-old Contessa Renae Horton for Criminal Trespass at the same Walmart location.

This is Horton’s 22nd arrest in TGC. She has a history of criminal trespass, theft, writing bad checks and more.

At the Walmart on Sherwood Way on Saturday, SAPD officers, after dispatching to the store for the report of a theft at around 3:30 p.m., arrested 52-year-old Lydia Lombrano Ramos for outstanding warrants, Theft of Property <$2,500 2/More Previous Convictions and Criminal Trespass.

This is Ramos’ 34th arrest in TGC, and she too has a history of theft.

Also hit this weekend were Murphy’s Gas Station, 618 W. 29th St., Lowe’s Grocery, 1926 N. Bryant, and Academy Sports.

On Friday, at around 7 a.m., SAPD dispatched to the Murphy’s on 29th St. for the report of theft. Police arrested 23-year-old Scott Anthony Gomez for Possession of Marijuana <2 oz. Gomez also received a citation for Class C Theft.

This is Gomez’s 3rd arrest in TGC, but he has a history of marijuana possession.

Police, also on Friday, arrested 38-year-old Maribel Guerrero for Theft Class C and an outstanding warrant at around 4 p.m. after officers dispatched to Lowe’s on N. Bryant for the report of shoplifting.

This arrest, however, is Guerrero’s 1st in TGC.

As for the final arrest, SAPD officer arrested 27-year-old Michael Christopher Luna Saturday at around 5 p.m. at Academy for Possession of Marijuana <2oz. Police dispatched to the sports retailer for the report of a shoplifter.

This is Luna’s 3rd arrest in TGC.

Overall, out of 61 arrests made this weekend, 33 people were booked for new crimes, 21 for outstanding warrants, and seven for both.

Thieves and shoplifters, 22nd, 26th and 34th arrests ! Why are these people still here, breathing our air, using our resources and stealing every chance they get. They should be put on the wall. Enough is enough !! I believe in giving second chances, but not 20 or 30 something chances. Put a few of these idiots on the wall, it will make the potential thieves think twice.
