SAN ANGELO, TX - This weekend, local law enforcement witnessed a bit of action. Officials arrested and booked 70 people into the Tom Green County Jail on a variety of offenses that extended beyond the normal drugs and alcohol-related offenses. Included in those arrests were Alejandro Raymond Olvera, 25, Jose Luiso OCampo, 38, Jesus Miguel Lucero, 47, Seth Allen Tonn, 33, Austin Fletcher, 17, and Travis Andrew Ruschenberg, 19.
According to the San Angelo Police Arrest Blotter, Olvera, on Friday evening, was arrested for Deadly Conduct Discharge Firearm after a lengthy investigation of a drive-by shooting that occurred around 7:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Morris Avenue. Olvera was located just before noon in the 2400 block of Vanderventer after officers were called out for a disturbance.
This is Olvera's third arrest in Tom Green County.
On Saturday, OCampo was arrested for an outstanding warrant with extradition around 9:35 a.m. after officers dispatched to the 3800 block of Christoval Road for the report of a wanted person.
This is OCampo's first arrest in TGC.
Also on Saturday, SAPD officers arrested Lucero for Assault Against Elderly Or Disabled Individual and Injury Child/Elderly/Disable W/Int Bodily Injury around 3:20 p.m. after Police dispatched to the Econo Lodge, 415 W. Beauregard, for the report of an assault.
This is Lucero's first arrest in TGC.
In addition to these arrests, Tonn, on Friday, went to the TGCJ for Forgery Financial Instrument Fraud Use/Poss Identifying Info at around 12:30 p.m. Police were dispatched to First Financial Bank, 301 W. Beauregard, for the report of forgery in progress. Apparently, Tonn attempted to cash a stolen check with an ASU ID stolen during a recent vehicle burglary.
This arrest marks Tonn's 19th in TGC.
Finally, the Walmart on 29th St. had more problem people on Friday. Fletcher and Ruschenberg were arrested for Theft Class C Under $100 at around 8:30 p.m. Originally, SAPD officers were dispatched to the Walmart for the report of unwanted subjects. The duo, in addition of being "unwanted," received a citation for Class C Theft for an earlier beer theft at the same store. A 16-year-old girl also received a citation for Shoplifting.
Overall, out of the 70 arrests, and including these individuals, 33 people were arrested for new crimes, 28 on outstanding warrants, and nine people for both.
