Man Found Dead in Burned Brownwood Home

 

BROWNWOOD, TX – After a home burned in a fire caused by a heating/air conditioner unit, a man was found deceased on his couch.

According to a local news source, a Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to do a welfare check at a home in the 2800 block of Bell Plain Road at approximately 3 p.m. The victim was identified as Clois Jackson, 63, by a family member, according to KTXS.

The fire had smothered itself out and it's unknown if foul play was a factor in Jackson's death.
