SAN ANGELO, TX- As Christmas day draws near, local restaurants and stores will be closing in observance of the holiday.
Most major grocery stores and the mall in San Angelo will be open on Christmas Eve, but will be closed on Christmas day.
All Walmart shopping centers in San Angelo on Christmas Eve will be open until 6 p.m. and will be closed all day on Dec. 25. An employee at the Walmart on 5501 Sherwood Way said, “We have a lot of roll backs going on right now.”
An HEB supervisor explained the store won't have any final big sales. She noted, “It’s just what’s in our add.”
Among the Walmarts, HEB, Sunset Mall, Market Street and Super Mercado will be closed on Christmas day.

Now, if anyone is looking for a restaurant that will be open and serving lunch and/or dinner on Christmas day, there are quite a few in town that will be open: China Garden, IHOP, Bo Bo Kitchen, Roxie’s Diner, Golden Corral, Nacho’s, and River Terrace.
