Furthermore, a police statement revealed a grand juryn on Dec. 1, indicted Adkins in the death of 19-year-old Wendy Kay Robinson of Willow Park.

Police say Robinson, on July 8, 1987, was sunbathing at Lake Weatherford when she disappeared. Her body was found days later near a ranch. Police determined the freshman at Weatherford College suffered blunt force trauma.

KTXS reported that authorities didn't immediately say what led investigators to Adkins. There wasn't an immediate posting of bond, or who the defense attorney will be.
