The press release stated, “Adapted from the novel by Louisa May Alcott, 'Little Women' presents the adventures of the March Sisters, Amy, Beth, Jo and Meg and their mother, Marmee. The ASU production features all the great scenes from the book, including the Christmas scene when the girls spend their Christmas money on presents for their mother.”
The play covers scenes from the novel, as well as interweaving the lives of the March girls and Laurie, the boy next door. The scenes will show “as they grow happily together; yet the action is contained neatly in one set. All overtones of gaiety and undertones of sadness are there, bringing the story completely to life in a way that is both accurate and dramatically satisfying,” the press release added.
Tickets are on sale now and can be found at the ASU box office in the EFA Building. The box office is open from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. on weekdays. For reservations and/or ticket information, call 325-942-2000.
