San Angelo Offices and Businesses Closed in Observance of Thanksgiving

 

Most city offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24-25 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

On Thanksgiving Day, there will be no trash pickup and the landfill will be closed. Residents who are scheduled to have trash pickup on Thursday will receive trash services on Friday, Nov. 25. Residents who receive trash services on Friday will have trash picked up on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Fort Concho will also be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will reopen Friday, Nov. 25. Barracks 1 Visitor Center will be open from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. for self-guided tours.

On Saturday, Nov. 26, hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27.

The visitor center will have tickets for sale for the Christmas at Old Fort Concho on Dec. 2-4 and Weldon Henson’s Cowboy Christmas Dance on Dec. 1 in the fort’s stables.

The San Angelo Nature Center will be open from noon-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25-26.

City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday Nov. 28.

City offices that will be closed Nov. 24-25 include:

  • Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing senior centers
  • Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers
  • McNease Convention Center
  • San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department
  • Fairmount Cemetery’s business offices
  • Municipal Court
  • San Angelo Animal Shelter
