SAN ANGELO, TX - Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so it’s vital to ensure everyone has the most important part of the meal: dessert. Here are some of a few places in town that will be providing some flavorful desserts for the holiday.
Halfmann’s Cake Cottage
This bakery will be offering customer favorites such as chocolate, lemon, coconut, pumpkin and meringue pies starting at $14. Pecan pies will be on sale for $15. The bakery will also be providing gourmet pies starting at $17 in flavors such as apple and cherry. Icebox cakes with whipped cream are also available.
Halfmann’s is located at 1 S. Taylor St., and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Walmart Bakery
The $0.50 cent pies are back at Walmart and they are going fast. Walmart is selling small personal pies for fifty cents in a wide variety of flavors such as pecan, pumpkin, cherry, peach, apple and lemon. Traditional pumpkin and pecan pies will also be on sale ranging from $4 to $6. A crowd favorite is also Patti LaBelle’s Sweet Potato Pie, which is also available at Walmart.
HEB Bakery
HEB is bringing back one of its most popular pies for a second time. The 12-inch half pumpkin half pecan pie has been a new crowd favorite. The pie is currently on sale for $11.98, but an in-store coupon allows customers to save an additional dollar. The bakery will also be offering traditional pies such as cherry, pumpkin and pecan ranging from $4-$10.
HEB will be open from 6 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. today and 6 a.m. - 2p.m on Thanksgiving.
Cakes In A Cup
This bakery will be offering a wide variety of cakes in a cup with flavors such as buttermilk, key lime, pumpkin, and pecan; these pies will be starting at approximately $20. Cheesecakes will also be available starting at $30.
Cakes in a Cup is located at 1407 S Oakes St., and is open from 8:30 a.m – 6:00 p.m.
