SAN ANGELO, TX - Since our update yesterday, local law enforcement arrested and booked 22 people into the Tom Green County Jail on a variety of offenses. Where new crimes topped the weekend list, local law enforcement initiated more warrants in the past 24 hours.
Overall, 14 people went to jail for outstanding warrants, and one of those arrestees, 64-year-old James Royce Jordan went to the TGCJ for the 64th time on new crimes as well. At 9:54 p.m., Jordan was booked for Criminal Trespass and Public Intoxication. He had two outstanding warrants, one of which was also for Public Intoxication.
San Angelo Police Officer Tracy Gonzalez said officers were dispatched to the Allsup's located at 3802 Sherwood Way for the report of a suspicious person.
"Officers made contact with Jordan, who was intoxicated and a danger to himself and others," said Officer Gonzalez. "Jordan had a previous Criminal Trespass Warning issued to him from the property."
Another San Angeloan, 54-year-old Carla Gail Strader was also arrested for Criminal Trespass at around 7:40 p.m. yesterday after she was found to be at Target, located at 4235 Sunset, while having an active Criminal Trespass Warning, said Gonzalez.
This is Strader's 16th arrest in TGC.
In addition to the 14 people arrested on warrants, eight people went to the TGCJ for new crimes, which included the following:
- Possession of Marijuana: 2
- Driver's License False: 1
- U.S. Marshal Hold: 1
- Assault Causes Bodily Injury: 1
- Criminal Trespass: 4
- Resisting Arrest: 3
- Public Intoxication 2
- Theft of Property: 1
- Possession of Controlled Substance: 1
- Fail to Identify Give False/Fictitious Info: 1
