ASU's Jazz Ensemble to Perform Annual Fall Concert

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The ASU Jazz Ensemble presents its annual fall concert next Tuesday, November 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the ASU Auditorium located at 2601 W. Avenue N.

A press release stated the musical program is said to include “Have You Met Miss Jones” by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart as arranged for the Glenn Miller Orchestra, “That’s Life” arranged by Gordon Goodwin, “Morning Dance” by Jay Beckenstein, “What’s New?” arranged by Dave Wolpe, “Blue Skies” by Irving Berlin, “Things Ain’t What They Used to Be” by Mercer Ellington for the Duke Ellington Orchestra, and “City” by Jeff Lorber for his group, Jeff Lorber Fusion.

The Jazz Ensemble is comprised of 10 student musicians. Playing the saxophone will be Sean Curry, Ben Garner and Chantz Jones; Michael Foster and Carson Seals will be on trumpet; Daniel Anable, Tyler Hall and Seth Myers will be on  trombone;  Alexandor Nicholson is the ensembles bassist and Satchel Williams will be on drums. This Ensemble is directed by Dr. Timothy Bonenfant, an associate professor of music at ASU.

This concert is open and free to the public.
