SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police made four arrests yesterday in connection with methamphetamine Tuesday. Two of those arrestees happened to be riding along with those arrested for possession. They had warrants.
At 1:45 p.m. yesterday, San Angelo police conducted a traffic stop on a gray 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck in the 1500 block of Willow Street.
The driver, 44-year-old Michael Joe Trammell, was arrested for Expired Vehicle Registration. During a search of Trammell, officers located a small bag that contained suspected narcotics, which field-tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
Trammell was additionally charged with Felony 2 Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1. A female passenger, 29-year-old Ashley Nicole Walker, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Both were transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
Later, just after 2 p.m., San Angelo police conducted a traffic stop on a maroon 1999 Buick passenger car near North and Howard Streets.
During the stop, officers located marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and suspected narcotics, which field-tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
The vehicle’s driver, 48-year-old Oscar Villarreal Lopez, was arrested and charged with Felony 2 Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Class B Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A female passenger, 26-year-old Jessamy Whittington, was arrested for outstanding City Warrants and transported to Municipal Court. Lopez was transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
