San Angelo Airman Found Dead at Holloman AFB

 

This past Tuesday, Oct. 11, Nathan Wilson-Ross, 21, passed away while stationed at Holloman Air Force Base located in New Mexico. Wilson-Ross was an Airman First Class in the 54th Fighter Group as an aircraft maintenance specialist.

According to local news sources, details regarding his death are unknown, and Holloman AFB is currently not releasing any more details. However, no foul play is suspected. Wilson-Ross’ body was discovered Tuesday morning at the base's dormitories.

"This is a tragic event that reminds us how precious time can be," said Col. James Keen, 54th Fighter Group commander, in a press release. "I encourage affected members of Team Holloman to reach out and support one another through this tragedy."

Memorial service details will be released as soon as all arrangements are made.

Holloman Airmen who may need support or assistance are invited to contact a chaplain at 575-572-7211, or the Traumatic Stress Response Team at 575-572-5676 during normal duty hours. After hours, either agency can be reached 24/7 at 575-572-7575.

Wilson-Ross is survived by his mother and brother.
