SAN ANGELO, TX - An early Sunday morning fight resulted in two victims, one stabbed twice and another shot in the chest, and three arrests so far the Sheriff said.
Sheriff David Jones spoke with us just before 6 p.m.
“It’s been a long night and long day,” he said. Jones led the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office on the investigation of the overnight shooting.
Jones said that deputies were dispatched to the scene on Sage Rd., off Grape Creek Rd., in the county at approximately 2:30 a.m. Once there, deputies found two victims of what appeared to be a front yard brawl. One female was shot in the chest. Another victim suffered two stabbing wounds. The latter was treated and released from Shannon. The female gunshot victim is “very lucky” to have survived Jones said. She remains in Shannon Medical Center and her current condition is unknown.
Jones said two groups that he does not characterize as gangs had been feuding and the ongoing feud led to the front yard confrontation on Sage Rd. early Sunday morning.
So far, three have been arrested for various charges, including aggravated assault. Jones did not rule out more arrests were pending.
Releasing the names of those arrested and the victims are pending.
