SAPD Find Heroin and Meth During Disturbance Call

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - At approximately 2:45 a.m. on Friday, September 30, San Angelo Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Oakes Street for the report of a civil dispute between a tenant and property owner.  

SAPD Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said officers, once on scene, identified multiple parties involved in the alleged dispute: 21-year-old Mariah Marquez, 21-year-old Brandon Isaiah Navarette, and 36-year-old Domingo Cruz, III. They all had outstanding arrest warrants.

During a probable cause search of a vehicle associated with the subjects, officers located drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics, which field-tested positive for heroin and methamphetamine. 

In addition to the warrants, Marquez was charged with State Jail Felony Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 (heroin) and Cruz was charged with Felony 3 Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Marquez, Navarette, and Cruz were transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.
