In some states, pig wrestling is a misdemeanor, but here in the great state of Texas, you can be awarded for your hog wrestling skills. The city of Brady is gearing up for its 2nd Annual Hogtoberfest, which will kick off Thursday, October 6, with a carnival for some good family fun. You can find coupons for carnival admission on the Facebook page created for the event here.
There will be over a dozen local vendors you will be able to check out while waiting on the excitement of hog wrestling to start. The Brady Chamber of Commerce will have an apparel booth set up, and members are selling some shirts to help promote the event. If you’d like to be a vendor, there’s still time to register; just call (325) 597-3491 for an application.
Also, if you think you have what it takes to wrestle a hog, there’s still time to sign up. The limit is 40 teams per division. If you just want to have a good time watching people roll in the dirt trying to tackle some pigs, then come on out this weekend! The class divisions are listed below.
Erin, with the Brady Chamber of Commerce, said, “We want to stress that all Military and First Responders get free admission at the gate to show appreciation for all that you do."
