SAN ANGELO, TX – This weekend, 14 female lawbreakers made their way to the Tom Green County Jail, giving their male counterparts a bit of competition. Although men tend to dominate the daily booking report, the number of women offenders are becoming more noticeable.
As far as the more "interesting" crimes go this weekend, three women topped the list.
Leading that list is Amanda J. Olguin, 29, who was arrested for Theft Class C, Resisting Arrest Search or Transport, and assaulting a public servant. Currently, LIVE! is still waiting more details on this arrest, and will provide an update when available.
However, we do know that this is Olquin's first major arrest in TGC, and her bonds total $25,892.
As for the other two, Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer for the San Angelo Police Department, said Melissa Arroyo Reyes, 37, and Josephine Herminia Ojeda, 31, were arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Fighting. At around 3 a.m. on Oct. 2, officers patrolling in the 2600 block of Martin Luther King observed the two engaged in a fight.
They were both transported to TGCJ. This is Reyes’ 10th arrest in TGC, and Ojeda’s 4th.
Including these women, a total of 47 people were arrested over the weekend. Out of those arrests, 25 had new complaints, 17 had outstanding warrants and five arrestees had both new complaints and outstanding warrants.
