SAN ANGELO, TX – Since our last update yesterday, local law enforcement sent 22 people to the Tom Green County Jail. The majority of these arrests were warrant related and a result of traffic stops. Not to mention, some of these arrestees are habitual offenders.
Officer Tracy Gonzalez, public information officer for the San Angelo Police Department, provided details on some of these warrant arrests.
Just before noon yesterday, Greg Dale Arredondo, 25, was arrested for Felony 3 Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1, Driving While License Invalid and Prior Convictions, Class B Possession of Marijuana, and outstanding warrants. His arrest was a result of a traffic stop at W. 6th & North Bryant Blvd.
This is Arredondo’s 17th arrest in Tom Green County. His total bond is set at $11,500 with court costs/fines of $748.
Anthony R. Frazier, 54, was also arrested for new complaints and warrants. He was charged with Class B Possession of Marijuana and outstanding warrants after a pedestrian contact at Farr & W. 20th St., said Gonzalez. His warrants are for Open Container and Failure to Appear.
This is Frazier’s 15th arrest in TGC. Frazier’s total bonds amount to $2,050 with fine/court costs of $667.
Another arrest that took place yesterday afternoon at around 3:45 p.m. included Derick Dewayne Smith, 35, who was arrested for outstanding warrants related to theft of property.
Officer Gonzalez said SAPD officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of E. 21st Street for the report of a wanted person.
This is Smith’s 22nd arrest in TGC, and his warrant for theft is out of Midland. His total bond comes out to $27,000, and he has a $562.29 Personal Recognizance Bond.
Overall, out of the 22 arrest, and including these three individuals, 13 people had outstanding warrants, 5 people had new complaints, and four people had both outstanding warrants and new complaints.
