Brownwood Police Arrest Man for Sexual Assault of Teen

 

BROWNWOOD, Texas - A 20-year-old Brownwood man was arrested for "sexually assaulting" a teenage mother.

According to a local news source in the area, Richard Bryant Jr., 20, was arrested on a warrant for sexually assaulting the teen. Police reported there is a four-year difference between Bryant and the alleged victim, a teenage mother. Brownwood police picked up Bryant Jr. at 8:45 p.m. Friday at his father’s home on Austin Avenue.

According to police, it wasn't immediately known when the offense allegedly occurred.

Bryant Jr. posted bail of $20,000 Saturday, according to Brown County Jail records.

Texas Child Protective Services was the primary investigator of the case, and Brownwood Police served the warrant.
