On Thursday, August 18, The Coop Gallery will be hosting the Aqua Squad Installation Exhibit.
Aqua Squad is made up of a group of 10 SAISD students who have spent the summer learning about the water problems the community faces. They will become water ambassadors for the Concho Valley and represent San Angelo across the United States.
The squad will present all the information they learned this summer, including drought representations using cracked soil from the Red Arroyo River and a dramatic representation of the severity of drought through the year 2009.
Guests will also learn about mesquite eradication and local lake levels. The event is free to the public and will run from 5 to 8 p.m. with complimentary snacks and drinks. The Coop Gallery is located at 427 S. Oakes.
