Retirement Ceremony to be Held for SAPD Officer After 20 Years of Service

 

According to a press release, the San Angelo Police Department will be honoring Police Officer Jose Ruiz  with a retirement ceremony. The event will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chief’s Conference Room of the police station located at 401 E. Beauregard. 

Ruiz began his career with SAPD in October 1992 as a dispatcher before becoming a police officer in 1994. Ruiz obtained his Master Police Officer Certificate by 1999. Throughout his tenure, Ruiz has served in the Department’s Patrol Division and Traffic Section. Ruiz has 1,957 TCOLE training hours, and he has served as a member of the Army Reserves since 1994.

Ruiz has been the recipient of numerous commendations and letters of recognition.
