A press release from the Texas DPS announced that Roy Lee Bosier, 55, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being captured on June 23 in Houston.
Bosier, a high-risk sex offender, was wanted for parole violation and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. The arrest was the result of tip information, and a reward up to $3,000 will be paid.
Working off tip information, the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, assisted by the Houston Metro Police Department, located and arrested Bosier without incident in north Houston. (His last known address also was in Houston.)
Bosier’s criminal history included a 1979 conviction for the rape of a 17-year-old girl and a 1987 conviction for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Bosier was paroled from prison in December 2012; and in June 2015, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for Bosier’s arrest for parole violation.
