Abilene Gets Hit with Another Homicide

The Abilene Police Department is investigating another homicide that occurred Sunday evening.

At approximately 9:10 p.m., APD received a call from a citizen who stated that an injured subject was lying in the roadway on Arnold Blvd., near Interstate 20. The caller stated that the victim had been shot. When police arrived, they found a male lying in the roadway deceased.

Police immediately secured the scene and began a homicide investigation. The male has been identified as 36-year-old Donald Perkins of Abilene. Next of kin have been notified.

“The investigation is in its early stages,” said APD.
