Blaine's Pub at 10 W Harris Ave, downtown, is the place to be tonight through this weekend for live entertainment.
Tonight, Singer-songwiter Clayton Gardner, out of College Station, Texas, will take the stage at 8 p.m. His 2015 album “Under the Lights” with the hit “Buy You a Drink” is perhaps his best known song having placed on the Texas Radio charts. Staying true to his Texas roots, Gardner plays country music, and tours 8-12 dates a month. He has also managed to find the time to complete his degree at Texas A & M. His song "Single Looks Good" is sure to get the crowd out of their seats and onto the dance floor, while the epitome of the old school country genre, "Table For Two," might just rejuvenate, or solidify, relationships with their first date/kiss undertones.
Friday night, April 15, K Phillips will take the stage at 10 p.m. With their "Pop-Americana/Rock 'n' Roll roots, this band relays stories most listeners have lived through with their lyrics. Recently, on their Facebook page, K Phillips shared the Counting Crows' tour announcement video. They posted, "These guys are letting me go on tour with them this summer..thank you thank you Counting Crows & Rob Thomas!" Catch this band while you can San Angeloans because, over the next 5 months, their tour will take them to far away places such as Alabama, Maine, Toronto, San Diego and everywhere in between.
Saturday night, April 16, Austin Meade will go on at 10 p.m. This singer/songwriter from the Austin area grew up playing in the church. He started out on drums and "then decided to pick up a guitar." His video "Feeling Closer" portrays "Acoustic Americana" with "Blues" influences. Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, this "Rock and Roll/Alternative Country" band's newest album is entitled "Wolves."
