The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced today that they have added John Albert Gover, 40, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list, and a cash reward up to $3,000 is now being offered for information leading to his capture. Gover, who is a Hermandad de Pistoleros Latinos gang member, is wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.
DPS officials stated that Gover has ties to the San Antonio area, which was his last known address. In 2009, Gover was convicted of indecency with a child by sexual contact in Bexar County after an incident involving a 12-year-old girl. His criminal history also includes robbery, a deadly weapon in a penal institution and burglary of a building. For more information or updates in the event of his arrest, see his wanted bulletin at: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/
Gover is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has tattoos on his arms, back, chest, wrists, left ankle, left hand and right leg. Gover also has previously used the alias of Mike R. Gonzales.
