Children of San Angelo Learn Through The Sound of Music

According to a press release Monday, the San Angelo Symphony will present the 31st annual Youth Concert, “The Magic in Music”, on Friday, March 4th at the McNease Convention Center.

Two performance are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 12 p.m with free admission.

Approximately 2,500 third- through fifth-graders from San Angelo ISD have been involved with the performance over the last three decades.

The concert will combine both elements of classical and popular music in a child friendly format. The performance also has a strong emphasis on core academic subjects.

The concert offers schools in the Region 15 school districts opportunities to introduce their children to symphonic music through this event. School administrators and teachers receive Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills-approved curriculum to use in the classrooms prior to their students visit to the Symphony.
