For those looking for some after-Rodeo entertainment, Blaine's Pub is going to be the spot for some beer-drinking and country music.
Here is what the popular downtown bar has in store:
Parker McCollum
“My live show, I like to think, is pretty intimate,” Parker said. “I am giving it everything I got with every word I sing. Some people like to run around with a wireless microphone; I like to sit back into a groove with my band and let my songs speak for themselves.”
Parker is currently working on a new album; however, 2015's The Limestone Kid and his EP, A Red Town View, can be found on Spotify, Pandora, and iTunes.
“I am pleased with what we have accomplished, but one decent album does not do a whole lot for that respected catalog of songs I dream about having one day,” Parker noted.
He will be taking the Blaine's stage tonight, February 12, and added, “I love San Angelo. We have played there a handful of times and I always have a blast.”

Flatland Cavalry
This Lubbock band has a slightly less traditional country sound. Drummer Cleto Cordero said, “I would say that we are pop-country; not 'bro country.' I know that word has a negative connotation these days, but that is what we are: listenable music with a country influence.”
The band members are currently in the studio wrapping up their first full length album, but their EP, Come May, is available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and Amazon.
However, the best way to hear Flatland Cavalry's music is at a live show, which San Angelo will get a chance to experience at Blaine's on Saturday night.
“Our live shows are a blast,” Cordero stated. “We try to keep the energy up throughout the night and get the crowd to let loose, and dance and sing along with us. If they leave at the end of the night sober and full of energy, then we have not done our jobs.”
This will be Flatland's third time to play Blaine's, and Cordero noted, “I have heard great things about the rodeo so hopefully that brings even more people out. Third time's a charm!”
