Angelo State University’s online Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) degree programs have been ranked among the “Best Online Master’s Programs in Nursing” in the U.S. for 2016 by CollegeChoice.net for the second straight year, said a press release Wednesday.
ASU is one of seven Texas schools to make the CollegeChoice.net rankings for 2016. According to the website, the rankings criteria include quality of faculty, technology and support, online engagement, tuition costs, and average pay for graduates, based on data from U.S. News and World Report, the National Center for Education Statistics and PayScale.com.
“We are honored to have our online graduate nursing program recognized,” said Dr. Wrennah Gabbert, Nursing Department chair. “Our vision for the program was, and remains, to provide RNs with the opportunity to pursue their advanced educational aspirations in a student-friendly format and a professionally stimulating environment that is both economical and feasible. We respect the life and professional experiences, knowledge and expertise RN adult learners bring with them. Our excellent faculty team works and collaborates with students to provide learning activities and projects that promote and develop their professional growth as they work toward the attainment of their advanced degree.”
According to the press release, the other Texas schools on the list are the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas Christian University, the University of Texas at Tyler, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and the University of Texas at Arlington.
