Angelo State University’s online graduate psychology program has been ranked one of the “50 Best Online Master’s in Psychology Programs” in the U.S. for 2016 by SuperScholar.org, an independent online college and university resource guide, said a press release Monday.
Overall, ASU’s program was ranked No. 41 nationally and is one of five programs at Texas schools to make the SuperScholar.org list. According to the website, the rankings include only regionally accredited online graduate programs and were based on criteria that included tuition cost, scheduling flexibility, academic reputation of the institution and average starting salaries of program graduates.
Specific ASU online graduate programs that led to the national ranking were the Master of Science in applied psychology and the Master of Education in guidance and counseling.
According to the press release, the M.S. in applied psychology program requires 36 credit hours and can be completed totally online or in a hybrid online/classroom format. An undergraduate degree in psychology is not required for admission to the program. More details are available at www.angelo.edu/dept/psychology_sociology/grad_program/applied_psychology.php.
