Drugs and Theft Tie The Top Crimes at the County Jail

In a race to see who could win the prize of a trip to the Tom Green County Jail, the folks of San Angelo made it a close finish since Wednesday with 64 arrests. Out of those, 24 people were booked on new complaints. Theft and Possession of Marijuana came in at a tie with five complaints each, followed by a close second was Aggravated Assault/Family Violence at three. Then coming in at third place there was another tie between Public Intoxication, DWI, and Driving while license is revoked or invalid with two complaints each.

The complaints that didn’t make the top of the list but still won a trip to TGCJ are:

• Fail to ID Fugitive From Justice – 1
• Unlawful Possession of Fire Arm – 1
• Operation of an Unregistered Vehicle – 1
• Criminal Trespassing -1
