Teen Driver Flips Truck Onto Sherwood Way

A teen male driver with his male friend as a passenger rolled in a compact pickup truck early Saturday evening on Sherwood Way and Loop 306.

According to San Angelo police, the driver had exited the Loop and was turning left onto Sherwood Way from the access road when things turned scary. Police estimate that the driver was traveling at a speed too fast to make the turn. The truck hit a curb and flipped over on its side.

No one was hurt, but the 16-year-old driver was issued a citation from failure to control speed.
