On Dec. 30, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division initiated an operation to locate and recover stolen property lost in recent burglaries and thefts in Tom Green County, said a press release Thursday.
According to the release, during the investigation, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Coliseum Drive. As a result of that stop, three subjects were arrested on outstanding warrants. Deputies also located a loaded shotgun in the vehicle which had been sawed off.
Shay Patrick Hohensee was arrested for an outstanding MTR Warrant for forgery of a financial Instrument; Dylan Kohutek-Bottalico was also arrested on an outstanding MTR Warrant for assault on a family/house member impede breath; and, Kayce Lynn Buck, was arrested for City warrants.
Additionally, a second vehicle was stopped in the 1400 block of Chadbourne. The stop resulted in a fourth subject being arrested on three outstanding warrants.
Deputies arrested John Rogers Porter for engaging in organized criminal activity, forgery of a financial instrument and fraud use/possession of identifying information.
As a result of the traffic stops, Tom Green County Criminal Investigators obtained sufficient information to conduct a search of a resident in the 700 block of 38th St. in San Angelo for stolen property. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately $30,000 of stolen property. Three additional arrests were made at the residence for outstanding warrants.
Johnathan Paul Cauthorn was arrested on a failure to appear warrant; Thomas Eugene Gribben was arrested on a warrant for fugitive from justice and evading arrest/detention; Gail Lynnette Word was also arrested for a contempt of court warrant.
Tom Green County Deputies were assisted by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the San Angelo Police Department in the search of the residence and recovery of the stolen items. After conferring with the District Attorney, efforts will be made to return the stolen property to the victims, stated TGSO officials.
