The Protect Our Kids Commission will hold a press conference on December 2, said a press release Tuesday. The conference will announce the release of the comprehensive report on recommendation directed to the Legislature, child welfare agencies, and child abuse advocates to help strengthen the ways Texas communities address child fatalities.
According to the press release, the purpose of conference is to help people better understand why children are dying and how Texas can prevent these deaths.
The conference will be held in the Speaker's Committee Room (CAP2W.6), Texas Capitol at 11 a.m. The report will also be available online on Dec. 2 and can be found at http://texaschildrenscommission.gov/media/46100/PDF-Report-POK-Commission-December-2015.pdf.
Members of the Protect Our Kids Commission will be available for interviews following the press conference.
