Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are seeking a suspect or suspects who shot up a San Angelo elementary school.
On October 28, 2015, around 10 p.m., San Angelo police were dispatched to Austin Elementary School in the 700 block of N. Van Buren Street for the report of shots fired. Dispatch advised investigating Officers that a complainant heard multiple gunshots in the area.
Upon arrival, Police searched the roadway and located several spent shell casings from a handgun. Police did not locate any damage to property adjacent to the street and no one reported injuries at the time of the call.
Police returned to the 700 block of N. Van Buren for follow-up investigation. After canvassing the area, Officers discovered gunshot damage to the Austin Elementary School, presenting evidence of gunfire.
The suspected time of the incident was 10 p.m., and the school was unoccupied at the time. No injuries were reported.
