UPDATE: SAPD Issues Statement on Accidental Stabbing on San Jacinto Street

 

SAN ANGELO, TX— The San Angelo Police Department has issued a statement regarding the stabbing incident on San Jacinto Street.

"On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, the San Angelo Police Department issued the following statement:

“On December 23, 2025, at approximately 2:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of San Jacinto Street in reference to a reported stabbing victim. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with an apparent stab wound. Initial information at the time of the call was limited however, further investigation determined that the injury was the result of an accidental, self-inflicted wound.

This incident was isolated, and there is no threat to the public. No criminal activity is suspected.

No further details are available for release at this time."

On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, officers with the SAPD were dispatched to the 600 block of San Jacinto Street and a woman, along with another individual were seen taken into custody.
